  • Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Medical Law and Ethics, Yonsei University, Seoul.
    Dr. Lee’s research interest are mainly two areas: end of life care ethics and genomics ELSI study.
    He is actively involved in end-of-life care policy development since 2010, when he joined the Bioethics Policy Research Center (now Korea National Institute for Bioethics Policy). He surveyed clinical ethics services in the academic hospital settings and drafted Korean end-of-life care act (legislated in Feb. 2016). He served as a consultant in many revision processes of public health legislations, such as Communicable Disease Control Act, Bioethics and Biosafety Act, and Mother and Children Act.
    Currently he is working on ELSI Study design for South Korea’s National Bio-Big Data Project(2020~) and other biomedical research governance(2021~).
