  • Yeon-Ah Lee joined the Kyung Hee University faculty in 2010 and was promoted to professor of Rheumatology in 2019. She earned her M.D. degree in 1999 from Kyung Hee University Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency, rheumatology fellowship at Kyung Hee University Hospital and she spent a year as a visiting scholar at Utz lab at Stanford University in 2014. She has expertise in the clinical study of rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, and CTD-ILD. Last year she participated in developing the first version of ‘Korean recommendations for the treatment of axial spondyloarthritis’. Recently she started biomarker discovery using saliva diagnostics for RA-ILD and seronegative RA with co-workers. She is also trying to establish several animal models of RA-ILD to investigate the basic mechanism of the inflammation-driven fibrosis. She is a member of both Academic Committee of the Korean Association of Internal Medicine and the Korean College of Rheumatology.
